A-Z Reading

A-Z Phonics
The A-Z Phonics course gives teachers a working understanding of the phonetic foundation of our language and prepares them to directly teach students decoding skills in a hands-on, multisensory, sequential program.

A-Z Comprehension & A-Z Grammar for Speaking & Writing
The A-Z Comprehension program teaches the skills needed for comprehending both fiction and non-fiction. Rather than testing comprehension, A-Z Comprehension directly teaches strategies students must use to comprehend what they read. A-Z Grammar for Speaking and Writing emphasizes the grammar instruction needed for speaking and writing. The program uses symbols to help students develop ever more complex sentences based on pictures rather than on worksheets.

These are Make-It, Take-It Classes. Classes run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (week 1) or 5 p.m. (Week 2) All materials needed for teaching A-Z Reading are made as part of each class. Teacher's Guides for each class are supplied as part of the materials fee. Students may take one or both weeks. If college credit is not desired, students may audit the classes for a $100 fee for each class.
